When Silent Mode Sdn. Bhd. wanted to launch its cloud-based Slurp! point-of-sale (POS) system into the F&B market in Klang Valley, the Company turned to Hashim Communications. A spinoff of Terato Tech (a mobile apps development firm), Silent Mode wanted to create visibility of its first generation of Slurp! that also came with a customer app to allow customers to order foods directly from their phone.
A strategic program was developed for the launch of Slurp! where fresh content of key messaging was created and promoted on Slurp! website, a press release was written to announce the introduction of Slurp!, and, a media relations program was executed to kick start publicity momentum for the new product.
The campaign has secured press briefings with journalists to allow co-founders of Slurp! to explain the product. Various media outlets were interested in the Slurp! announcement and among the editorial coverage secured were Slurp app for better service (Focus Malaysia), Pilih makanan melalui ‘cloud’(Harian Metro), Silent Mode lancar Slurp untuk restoran (Sinar Harian), Cloud-based POS for F&B outlets launched in Malaysia (Retail in Asia), and, Running a cafe in Malaysia?
