KUALA LUMPUR – EY has officially opened nominations for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year (EOY) 2026 Malaysia awards, marking the program’s 25th anniversary in the country. From now until 15 June 2026, the program is seeking nominations of outstanding local entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence in innovation, resilience, and long-term value creation.
Launched locally in 2002, the EOY Malaysia program has recognized more than 350 entrepreneurs over two and a half decades. The 25th-anniversary edition focuses on the theme of “The Masterpiece,” comparing the journey of successful entrepreneurship to the intricate craft of batik-making.
Award Categories and Evaluation
The 2026 program features four distinct award categories:
- Emerging Entrepreneur
- Technology Entrepreneur
- Woman Entrepreneur
- Master Entrepreneur
Nominees will be assessed by an independent panel of judges based on four global pillars: Entrepreneurial Spirit, Purpose, Impact, and Growth. These standards are consistent across EOY programs in 94 countries and territories worldwide.

The Malaysian “Country Winner” for 2026 will be announced at a gala ceremony in December. This individual will go on to represent Malaysia at the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year (WEOY) in Monte Carlo, competing against country winners from over 60 nations.
In May 2026, the current title holder, Dato’ Kamarul Redzuan Muhamed (Group CEO of Uzma Berhad and EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2025 Malaysia), will represent the nation at the upcoming WEOY event in Monte Carlo.
