TNGlobal, the Asian technology and startup media platform formerly known as TechNode Global, has acquired Jumpstart Media, the Hong Kong publisher behind Jumpstart Magazine. Announced on August 4 from Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong, the deal folds one of the city’s longest-running startup publications into TNGlobal regional network across Greater China, Southeast Asia, Japan, and South Korea.
Founded in Hong Kong in 2014, Jumpstart has spent more than a decade covering entrepreneurship, venture capital, and innovation, building relationships with founders, investors, universities, corporations, incubators, and government agencies. Under the acquisition, it will keep its own brand and editorial identity while tapping TNGlobal and TechNode’s wider reach and resources.
Both companies frame the tie-up as a bridge between Hong Kong’s innovation ecosystem and the broader Asian and global tech landscape. The combined platform aims to give Hong Kong startups, investors, and scaleups greater visibility abroad, more market intelligence on the region, and easier connections to international capital, partners, and talent through media, events, research, and networking.
